Dolphin Fun for the iPhone and iPod Touch Video Review
The other day I saw what must have been a four year-old girl playing with an iPod Touch while her mother was shopping. What on earth would a four year-old want to play? Well, maybe today's app: Dolphin Fun. Essentially Dolphin Fun presents you with a blue background (customizable) in which you add dolphins, starfish, etc. You can then save your creation. You also get a few wallpapers (within the app, not to skin the phone) and a clock with an ocean background.
The problem with this app that would appeal to young users is a less than intuitive interface: You tap on the dolphins you want, then without any confirmation that they've been selected, you return to the main screen to place them upon the screen. It's easier to see in the video than explain (hey, that's why we make the videos!)
There's a very limited audience for this unless it takes off as a type of iPhone trinket, in which adults would customize and share their creations (sort of like the mobile phone charm phenomenon in some parts of the world.)
