Retro Tech Tuesday: The N-Gage

Follow us down the rabbit hole to an alternate 2010. In this alternate world, the leader in mobile gaming is not Apple, but rather Nokia. In 2003, Nokia tried to change the world with a taco. Nokia's N-Gage was to be a mobile gaming platform and mobile phone in one. Unfortunately, decisions like the taco-like design of the first N-Gage doomed the platform from the beginning. If Nokia had been successful, who knows if Apple would've ever even considered the phone market. Fortunately though, Nokia shot themselves in the foot, and the platform was dead before it really had enough users to even get started.
