Light Riders for the iPhone and iPod Touch Video Review

Who hasn't wanted to play a game based on the Light Cycle scene from TRON!? And now you can do it on the go with Light Riders for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The game looks great, but unfortunately if you're playing alone, it will probably get old pretty fast. You see, the other "bot" riders aren't the brightest in the bunch: I found if I stayed in the corner of the screen by myself making a series of squares, eventually the other three riders would crash all on their own. Some tweaking to AI, perhaps progressively more difficult gameplay would be a great addition. Of course, it might not be a 99-cent app then either.

The real fun of the game is the network play, which unfortunately is currently limited to the local wifi network. This game could be huge with networked play. For now, you can download it, and get your cycle moves on, or play someone else in the house.

It's got great potential, but if it delivers on all the possibilities, don't be surprised if the price inches up as well.
