Macgirl's Media pick of the Week 4/18/09

One of the best books I read last year is available now on iTunes as an audio book. Three Cups of Tea, written by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin, is subtitled: "One Man's Mission to Fight Terrorism and Build Nations...One School at a Time". And that story is an amazing journey, beginning on a mountaintop (K2), leading to homelessness and despair in California, then finally, true connections across the world are bridged, and change happens.  Greg Mortenson has more than done his part to help to create peace in our time. It is an advernture, a tragedy, a romance, and an uplifting story or redemption and humanity. It is also an eye-opening look into other cultures, showing ways to work with other people's beliefs, instead of fighting to change them.
